The Wedding Ceremony/Party- Musings
Be it a standard Wedding Reception, a Garden Party or whatever, the pages of this blog and beyond shall be insufficient to describe the true, stark, dark, gut-wrenching, sleep-depriving, stress, inducing, bile-producing, mind-bending, heart-rending commercialised self-parody the whole business sadly is.
The irony to me is that an event that serves to celebrate the simple affection and commitment between two ordinarily well-intentioned human beings becomes the exact anti-thesis, in essence a veritable theatre of modern warfare , wherein the combatants employ the most sophisticated In-Theatre tactics/strategies and Battlefield initiatives that would send the most Battle-hardened and sophisticated Pentagon apparatchik trembling with fear in the corner of the room with his thumb in his mouth and blanket in the other hand (apologies Charles Schultz..)
Nowhere is man's stark naked hypocrisy and vile nature so shamelessly on display from the Cruella De Villian smiles of the mothers-in-law on both sides to the painted on Anna Nicole- Smith grin of the bride on her big day, notice no one ever refer's to it as the Groom's big day.
I would ordinarily go into more detail but I fear for my life and the inevitable death threats I shall receive in consequence of this post. However I leave you with one thought, do you not think that the Wedding Ceremony is one in a long line of Opus Dei rituals designed as a method of self-inflicted torture for willing participants which along the line has been hijacked by dissident elements of the Freemasons as a subtle plot for world domination. By destroying the financial and mental well-being of the young and maybe not so young but most definitely impressionable, naive and vulnerable participants. A sinister rite of passage into the brotherhood of the Ring (or wedding band!).
The more important question being how you could bring yourself to read this whole heap of dross I've written here. I worry for you.

Hey my friend, I'm going to squeal, you cried at your wedding, I saw you don't deny it.
Yep, I cried, no denial. Wouldn't you with the expenses myself and my poor ex-wife had to bear. What do you know at 41 you've never been married- coward!
